About a year ago, I realized I was answering the same questions again and again in my writers group forum. I decided that it made more sense to offer a class instead of repeating the same information to new people. I developed a workshop and taught the first one for free. The feedback was positive, and I refined and taught again.
I’m happy to announce I will be teaching this virtual workshop again on Saturday, May 2, 10-11:30 AM. The cost is $39.00 and includes a follow-up group coaching session on Saturday, May 30th.

The workshop will cover:
- Creating an author website & what to include
- How to improve an existing website & increase traffic
- Reader magnets & how to select the best for your genre
- Social media – Do you really need it?
- Building your email list: Author newsletters & cross promotions
- Time for Q&A
We’ll have a follow-up on Saturday, May 30th from 10-11:30 AM to go over the progress class participants have made during the month since the workshop, and I’ll help identify steps for moving forward.
This workshop is appropriate for both fiction and non-fiction writers. If you don’t have a website, this is the perfect place for you to start. If you do already have a website, but wish to make improvements, we’ll cover that as well.
The class will be small so that there will be time to have your personal questions answered. Everyone will receive access to a recording of the workshop, as well as the PowerPoint presentation with live links to all the resources shared.
For additional information, please email me at jlhenkerauthor@gmail.com. You can also go directly to the workshop questionnaire to apply for a spot. Seating is limited.
The Zoom link will be provided once you’ve registered.
